On February 15 and 16, 2024, the live musical production “Broadway Show” was staged at the Cultural Center Hall of the Orthodox Cathedral Cultural Center in Tirana. Presented in the form of musical theater, the show combined some of the most famous songs from the international musical repertoire with a script written in albanian by Linda Kazani.

The theme of the script is highly relevant for Albanians both in Albania and abroad.

The theatrical storyline portrays the moment when an albanian immigrant family living in the United States takes pride in the artistic success of their daughter, who performs in a musical production on Broadway in New York.

To the surprise of her parents, the daughter has fallen in love with a young albanian artist, and together they decide to leave the United States and return to Albania.

The show was filled with comic and romantic situations, while presenting one song after another from some of the most famous musicals in the world, including Wicked, Chicago, Mamma Mia!, Cats, Sweeney Todd, The Greatest Showman, Grease, High School Musical, and We Will Rock You. 

These songs were performed live by the cast and the show’s live band.

This project brought together 24 talented artists from the albanian stage, who masterfully performed simultaneously in the three disciplines of live musical theater: singing, acting, and dancing.
